Inject and forget all in one kit
– BEGINNER –
This is by far the easiest kit to employ when starting out and can also be a great option for the fuss free users out there. The kit comes in 1lb, 2lb and 4lb to offer flexibility with the size of project you choose to start out with. All sizes work in the same manner, larger kits have a better yield potential.
Pros- There is no misting or fanning for this kit at any stage, making the process as simple as possible. The design of the kit means that contamination is less likely to find its way into your project. When your project is in the correct environmental conditions from the outset and throughout it has the ability to produce quick results with the whole process taking only 35-45 days.
Cons- As with all kits you need to ensure the right environmental conditions are in place to gain the full potential of the kit. Provided this is the case there aren’t many drawbacks to using this kit.
Lightbag
– BEGINNER –
The light bag is the only option within our stock that remains in low indirect light for 24 hours per day.
Pros – The lighting being provided to the kits 24 hours a day allows you more flexibility with starting multiple projects at different intervals. Therefore, can be a great option for those that want to get a few health mushrooms projects started at different points with ease. The kit still has all the features of the standard inject and forget kit so can be a good option for beginners that have a good understanding of ideal lighting conditions. The instructions do differ slightly so please ensure you confirm the exact details for the light bag.
Cons- Light can have a detrimental effect on projects, if it is too intense this can cause drying out or overheating the substrate preventing the kit from being able to produce. Therefore, lighting must be correct and consistent for results!
Mono-tub
– EXPERT –
A mono tub set up is a great option for those wanting a larger set-up with the potential for bigger yields.
Pros- This kit is the largest kit we sell with the potential for generous yields that won’t disappoint. The monotube set comes with everything you need to get started, so no need for working out substrate proportions. We also sell a refill kit for the tub to ensure ease each and every time! You could gain yields of 750g + of wet health mushrooms with the right set-up in place.
Cons- The project requires daily misting and fanning, so if you want something with little involvement this isn’t the kit for you. It is essential that the misting and fanning is carried out optimally to ensure that the desired results follow. There are also multiple steps once the initial colonization phase has been completed. This does require you to layer the substrate. This is not for everyone, something to consider before choosing this style of project. Due to the increased amount of interaction between you and your project, contamination is more likely so sterile conditions are a must! The use of a still air box or Flow Hood will improve your chances to keep your Mono Tub contaminant free.
Dutch kits
– BEGINNER –
This is the original beginner kit. Compared to the inject and forget kit it definitely has a little more involved. This can be a great step up once you have mastered the inject and forget kit before moving to more intermediate set ups.
Pros – The box is reusable. Extra protection from contamination due to the XL fruiting bag that is included with the kit.
Cons – There is no option to mix the kit once the initial 360 Tek method to introduce the spores throughout the substrate. This means the kit can take a little longer to colonize than other option, especially if you don’t sufficiently mix it. You will also need to mist and fan the project during fruiting, this is a delicate process. Ensuring you achieve the right levels of misting and fanning will be essential to the success of the kit.
Rye spawn bag
– BEGINNER FRIENDLY –
This is a cheaper option than using an inject and forget kit and is often used in the initial phase of a mono-tub set-up.
Pros- As the kit is less nutrient dense, due to being rye grain only, it is less susceptible to contamination. This can be used for Mono Tubs, grain to grain transfers, as an all in one and so much more!
Cons – Due to being less nutrient dense the kit take a little longer to fully colonize than other options.
Sprinkle bag next gen grow
– INTERMEDIATE –
Offering an upgrade on the Dutch Kit to allow for mixing to speed the process up! With the capacity to hold twice the substrate of the Dutch Kit.
Pros – The kit has the ability to auto fruit within as little as 45 days. This is an efficient kit that offers the speed of an inject and forget kit with the design of a MycoTox intertwined to achieve a kit that performs in an outstanding manner. No need to mist and fan the project ensuring the easiest use possible.
Cons- There are more steps involved than with the all-in-one kit inject and forget, which creates more opportunities for things to go wrong. It is essential to follow the steps exactly, as a small mistake can prevent the project from performing.
BRF PF Tek Brown rice flour grow kit
-INTERMEDIATE-
A cheap kit for those on a budget also known as a BRF cake.
Pros – This is a great value starting point for those wanting to take a step up from the inject and forget kit without a large price tag.
Cons- There are many steps involved in the successful application of this kit, it is essential that the steps are adhered to, in order to achieve the potential of the kit.
4lb 50/50 Injectable Horse manure and Rye grain mushroom growing kit
– EXPERT –
This option is a step up for those that have been working with the Brown rice flour kit/ PF Tek.
Pros – The kit combines the amazing benefits gained from the Hpoo and brown rice flour kit with the added benefit of injecting directly into the kit. Making the kit quick to colonize and the mushrooms extra flavorsome due to the support of the Hpoo bringing out the richness of the health mushroom.
Cons – Once the kit enters into the fruiting stages it requires an initial heavy mist and fan to start things off. This can be a trial and error process for those that haven’t worked with a kit requiring misting and fanning previously.
Ultimately, the kit you choose comes down to your preference, the level of involvement you choose to have and the options you have for placement. It is always best to read the full instructions prior to inoculation so you have time to pop back and clear up any areas of confusion before starting out. Most kits will suffer and be unlikely to produce results without the right set-up and environmental conditions in place. We are here to help; no question is too small or large. Your success is our success.
