Our heat mats come in two distinct sizes; 20w (28x42cm) and 7w (28x14cm).
Thermostatically controlled heat mats are the way to go when studying your mushroom spores. The ability to control the temperature within your study will massively impact the speed in which your research project progresses. By keeping it at a controlled, constant temperature you can see cultivation as soon as 10-14 days.
Our mats are incredibly easy to use. Not only do they come pre-set to your desired temperature (26-27c), all you need to do is plug them in to get going! The digital display itself allows for clear readings of your temperature, accurate to 0.1 degrees Celsius. And with a 2m lead length this mat will go far with you!
When using one of these in your studies, we recommend to securely tape down the probe onto the middle of the mat. Place your project directly on top of the probe to ensure the most accurate reading. Without the temperature probe, your heat mat will keep heating up until it cooks your project, so keep this in mind when fiddling around with your projects! Check the probe placement after every use to avoid disappointment.
To change the temperature settings please follow below:
Press and hold left hand arrow for 3 seconds and use the up and down arrows to change to the ON temp. leave for 5 seconds.
Press and hold the right arrow for 3 seconds and use the up and down arrows to change to the OFF temp.
Placing the heat mat inside a plastic storage tote will make a brilliant incubator for colonizing spawn bags and bulk substrate. The storage tote incubator works great for the Inject-and-Forget Bags, just make sure to drill 8 small holes low down in the box and another 8 holes up high so the bags can breathe. Alternatively, take a look at our fruiting chamber or ultimate fruiting chamber which have heat mats installed inside them. It is important to note that any grow bags should not be directly on the heat source. A cardboard or polystyrene buffer between your grow and the heat source is ideal.
Warranty and Returns
Your heat mat is protected under a 3 month warranty for any electrical or heating faults. If you believe your heat mat to be effected by an issue, please call us on 08009949404 so we can assist you in resetting your chamber and sending out a replacement if necessary.
We will not replace a heat mat if the fuse has gone, as this is a natural safety mechanism designed to prevent electrical surges from creating a fire safety issue.
We will not replace heat mats due to natural wear and tear, or due to incorrect settings effecting the integrity of the mat. These heat mats come pre-set to avoid issues such as these, if you would like to change the settings please give us a call so we can assist you in the correct way of doing so.
If your heat mat has been damaged during transit you have 14 days to contact us from the point of delivery and we will arrange to send you out a new heat mat on the return of the damaged heat mat, free of charge.
