Fiji Spore Syringe
Fiji spores originate from Psilocybe cubensis specimens historically associated with the tropical island environments of Fiji in the South Pacific.
The warm, humid climate of the region provides an interesting ecological backdrop for this lineage and has made it a recognised strain within many microscopy collections.
Within the mycology community Fiji is often included in comparative studies examining cubensis varieties from tropical regions around the world.
Researchers frequently compare the spores of Fiji with other warm climate strains to better understand the natural diversity present within Psilocybe cubensis.
Collectors appreciate Fiji spores because they typically provide clear samples for microscopy work, making them suitable for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts building a diverse spore library.
Storage
Store spores in the refrigerator between 2–8°C to maintain freshness and viability.
When stored correctly they can remain suitable for microscopy study for up to six months.
For best results remove the syringe from the refrigerator roughly 12 hours before examination so the sample can gradually reach room temperature.
