We recommend 2.5ml of Gourmet Health Mushroom Spores per BRF PF Tek Grow Bag
Please note that our kits do not come with spore syringes included.
Sterilized Brown rice flour mushroom substrate in a bag. PF Tek substrate ready for spawning your favourite species. Also known as BRF CAKES. Ready to use, just inject with spores.
Use straight away and do not open the bag until your are ready to fruit or transfer.
To fruit the colonized cakes. It is best to use the All-in-one Fruiting and Incubation chamber or the Ultimate All-in-one Fruiting and Incubation Chamber.
Just add 1-2 inches of perlite to the base of the mono tub.
Add 1 liter of water to the perlite in the fruiting & incubation chamber or 2 liters of water to the perlite in the ultimate fruiting chamber.
Place a pieces of tin foil on top of the perlite. Place enough tinfoil for all your cakes and cut the tinfoil so the cake sits on top of the foil with out much excess.
Now soak your cakes in their own bags with clean tap water for 24hrs.
Empty water from the mushroom bag and remove the cake.
Roll the cake in dry vermiculite so as all sides of the cake are covered in vermiculite.
Place each cake on its tinfoil and place the lid on the Fruiting & Incubation chamber.
Each day you will need to Mist and Fan the cakes. This must be done 2-3 times a day.
Pins should form within 2 weeks from the soak of the cake in clean tap water.
Harvest the mushrooms when their veils start to break.
