Cultivation Overview
- Preparation: Disinfect tub and workspace, store substrates cool/dry, set environment to 26–27°C.
- Inoculation: Shake spore syringe, clean injection port, inject spores into rye grain bag, incubate in dark tub.
- Colonisation: Watch for first mycelium, gently shake to distribute. Full colonisation in 2–4 weeks.
- Layering: Base CVG → colonised grain → CVG → grain → CVG top layer → vermiculite casing.
- Fruiting: Keep in indirect light, mist walls daily, fan for fresh air. Pins in 10–15 days.
- Harvest: Pick at stage 3–4 before spore drop. Stagger harvesting extends cycle.
