Our 230 watt food dehydrator is ideal for small kitchens, big kitchens and anything in between. It has a UK plug, adjustable digital temperature controls and 5 collapsible food holding tiers. The 230 watt dehydrators ensure an efficient dehydration process across all five tiers, with temperatures ranging from 35c-80c.

Our dehydrator is ideal for those of you looking to keep your harvests for longer than a few weeks. You can pop them in here, dry them, jar them up, throw in a few silica gel packets and you’ll have them for upwards of six months. If kept correctly they should keep for up to a year! You can easily dismantle our collapsible dehydrator for easy storage, saving you space after a busy harvest!

This is much more efficient and a lot safer than simply air drying your harvests. Air drying can lead to mold build up, and it will never fully dry your mushrooms out leading to an early expiration date. This is not ideal for those of us wanting to bulk grow and store our own health mushrooms!

Using a dehydrator is a lot safer than using an oven at a low temperature to dry your mushrooms. We ourselves used to loose quite a bit of our harvest to accidentally burning our mushrooms! To avoid this, use our handy compactible air dehydrator!

Usage

This dehydrator is incredibly easy to set up. Simply remove it from it’s packaging and stack the plastic compartments on top of the white base. We would recommend washing and drying the plastic components prior to your first dehydration. Once it’s assembled, you can plug and play with ease!

For the best results, we recommend setting the temperature to 45-50c and running it for 6-10 hours. You then want to check for dryness by bending the mushrooms at the stems. They should snap, not bend. If they do bend- give them a few more hours and check back in with them.

We would recommend no warmer than 50c as it will begin to cook your mushrooms, which can remove the nutritional benefits. It helps preserve active beneficial compounds within your Gourmet Health Mushrooms. It also maintains the texture and colour better then higher temperatures.
