Thai Elephant Dung Spore Syringe
Thai Elephant Dung is a Psilocybe cubensis lineage associated with Thailand and the tropical environments of Southeast Asia.
The strain gained its unusual name due to reports that specimens were originally discovered growing in nutrient rich environments frequented by elephants.
Within the microscopy community the strain has become recognised as one of several cubensis varieties originating from Thailand.
The region’s warm and humid climate provides an ideal habitat for naturally occurring cubensis mushrooms.
Collectors frequently include Thai Elephant Dung spores in microscopy collections exploring cubensis strains discovered throughout Southeast Asia and tropical climates around the world.
